Decoder installation on BR118 in TT(1:120)

Locomotive: Tillig BR118 (02658)
Decoder: Flieschmann w/o sound NEM651 (6 pins)- FLM-685302/ w/o cable or FLM-685402 s 35 mm cable lenght
Digital format: DCC
Interface: No
MIlling: No
Difficulty: Easy

I was started the decoder installation when i realized that no pictures have been made... so the beggining of the process is missing.

Deassemble the cover of locomotive. On the board you have to brake the part shown on the picture below. On the paths of the board where the broken part was we will solder the pins of the decoder on the bottom part of the board.

Unscrew the screws, desolder wires on one of the board side. Solder the decoder pins as well as the paths of the board.

The most convinient decoder is without wires but i didn't have so decoder with 35 mm wire lenght is used.

After insulation of the decoder put it between the pins and the cardan.

Assamble the locomotive and start tests

And it is ready to play.
